Beartooth Electric Invites All to the Carnegie Library Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join Beartooth Electric and the Red Lodge Chamber of Commerce for our Ribbon Cutting/Tree Lighting Dedication Ceremony on Thursday, December 21, 2017, 5:30 p.m. at the Carnegie Library as we make spirits bright with the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Beartooth Electric President, Julie Lindgren stated, “All I want for Christmas is a bright and beautiful entrance to our town of Red Lodge. What better way to brighten both spirits and our entrance than adorning the Carnegie Library tree with new LED lights?”

On Thursday afternoon, the Beartooth crew will install 60 strands (1,500 bulbs) of C9 LED string lights replacing the existing C9 incandescent strings. BEC General Manager, Kevin Owens rang out, “HO-HO-HO-what savings this will be, changing out incandescent bulbs with LED.” The electricity cost comparison of the C9 incandescent bulbs vs. C9 LED bulbs realize a 98% savings. The total load of the C9 incandescent bulbs is 10,500 watts at a total cost of $7.86 a day running the lights for twelve-hours at the NWE commercial rate. The total load of the new C9 LED bulbs is just 216 watts with a cost of just 16 cents per day.

Join us for this special Christmas weekend dedication! Share in hot chocolate and candy canes with Santa and sing a few carols with the choir.
