Transfer/Disconnect

New Members

To receive electric service at a location whose residents we previously served, you must complete an application for the service. You may bring the application to our office, mail it, fax it (406.446.3934), or email it to info@beartoothelectric.com.

Along with your membership application, you will need to provide us with your physical address, your meter number, the date you wish to transfer service, and a credit reference from your prior utility company. Based on the credit reference, we may require a deposit.

 

Current or Prior Members

If we do not have a current application for your membership on file, we will ask you to complete a new application to update our records. Along with the application, you will need to provide your physical address, your meter number, and the date you wish to transfer service to your new location. Once we receive your application, we will let you know if we will require a deposit.

 

Mobile/RV Hookups

If you are moving a mobile home or an RV to a site with existing service, you will need a state electrical permit. Applications are available at our office.

 

When You Move

You are responsible for telling us when you move. When you notify us, we will need to know: 

  • Your final meter reading date
  • The name on your account
  • Your meter number
  • Date you want to disconnect service
  • Your new mailing address

 

You will receive a final bill after you notify us that you have moved.
